This was a matchup with a couple of very headstrong players. Kwon is still on the rise, whereas De Minaur has firmed himself in the top 20. Kwon fought back from a break down in the second set to force a tiebreak, but the Demon closed it out nicely, winning some insane points to capture the tiebreak 7-2.

Sonego was just too clinical against the Aussie. Sonego raced into the match, winning the first set with ease, and had all the momentum until Purcell called for an injury timeout, in which the wind changed. The tail wind was with the Aussie! Ultimately, it was the world no 27 to come out victorious!
