Denis Shapovalov v Marco Cecchinato

Shapovalov H2H

Despite a burst of energy in the first set, it was not enough to propel the Italian to victory. Shapovalov was inconsistent early on, but proved why he is world no 15 with some scintillating tennis in the late second set.

Pablo Andujar d Dominic Stefan Stricker 4-6 6-4 6-4

Andujar

A sensational start from the 18yo Swiss hero was not enough to defeat the 36yo Spaniard. The Spaniard proved he still has what it takes to comeback. A great mentality to have. Stricker showed some nerves, only hitting 50% of his first serves in. Both players weren't very consistent, but it was the player with experience that ultimately won.

Casper Ruud d Dominik Koepfer 2-6 6-1 6-4

Ruud

Ruud definitely showed his form, coming back from a set down in class. Just clinical playing style from Ruud ended up frustrating the German.
