ATP Hall of Fame Open🇺🇸 SF Results

Kevin Anderson (8) d Alexander Bublik (1) 4-6 7-6(3) 7-5

The fans were in for a show, with two of the biggest servers in the tournament. Bublik was playing some smart tennis in the first set, consolidating the one break, and looking focused. Although Anderson at 35yo is not known for his comebacks, he was not checked out, and remained focused, despite being down a break in the first game of the second set. Bublik had some looks to break in the third set, but Bublik provided the South African with a gift, serving his 9th double fault of the match.

Jenson Brooksby d Jordan Thompson (7) 6-3 7-6(3)

Brooksby has been on a dream run here. The world no 152 started off strong, but had some concerns in the second set, being down a break midway through the second set, leading 5-3 30-15 and having two set points. It was clear that if the Aussie kept the consistency up, that he could force errors from Brooksby, but the 20yo American stayed strong, and clinched the tiebreak with some fantastic tennis.
