Pablo Carreno Busta (4) d Jordan Thompson 6-4 6-4
PCB was too consistent against the Aussie. We all know Thompson's head can be all over the place, and despite the Aussie serving 8 aces to 1, PCB stayed calm and consistent.
Adrian Mannarino d Feliciano Lopez 6-4 3-6 6-3
This match could have gone either way. Lopez serving 15 aces and winning 81% of his first serves, but still could not defeat Mannarino. Before this tournament, the Frenchman was on a steep downhill battle, winning 0/7 matches on clay, many thinking this was his time, but he is proving those people wrong. His 1 and only title has been on grass, so maybe he can get one more!
Sam Querrey d Roberto Bautista Agut (3) 6-3 7-6(5)
Querrey does it again! Serving 25 aces and winning 84% of his first serves, and creating 8 break point opportunities throughout the match. His returning game today was outstanding, with RBA having no response.
Daniil Medvedev (1) d Casper Ruud (5) 7-5 6-1
Medvedev clearly has his head screwed on this tournament, and needs to have some results going into Wimbledon. The world no 2 created 10 break points and won 87% of his first serves, relying on his serve against a great rallier in Casper Ruud.
