Matteo Berrettini (1) d Dan Evans (6) 7-6(5) 6-3
Berrettini was just a bully in this match, controlling the points with his fierce forehand, leading the Brit side to side. The crowd were behind him, and it led to a close first set, but there was no stopping the world no 9, sealing the second set nicely.
Cameron Norrie d Jack Draper 6-3 6-3
It was Norrie with the finals experience that dismissed the world no 309 on home turf. It came down to converting break points, with Norrie converting 3/6 and Draper converting 0/5.
Denis Shapovalov v Frances Tiafoe 6-2 (DELAYED)
With a bit of rain delaying the first 3-4 hours of play, these two could not finish their match. To be continued!Alex
Alex De Minaur (4) d Marin Cilic 3-6 6-3 6-4
In a crazy match, Cilic loses his first grass match to no other than the hustler Alex De Minaur. There was only one break in each set, but the Aussie's return game was too good. Cilic usually wins 85%+ of his first serves, but De Minaur's great return game meant he was only serving at 75%. De Minaur also won 83% of his second serves, meaning Cilic had his chances, but could not convert. This was a real surprise, but you can never count out 'The Demon'.
