With the Grass season commencing in Germany, there is much anticipation!
Some lucky losers from the French Open begin their grass campaigns.
The 4 seeds are as follows: 1. Denis Shapovalov
2. Hubert Hurkacz
3. Felix Auger-Aliassime
4. Alex De Minaur
Shapovalov and Hurkacz are overrated here. They did not play grass season in 2019, whereas Felix and Alex killed it in the 2018/19 season. Hurkacz can turn it on when he wants, but is too unreliable. Shapovalov is a good chance, but is overvalued as the top seed.
Felix Auger-Aliassime (3)
Felix has a sensational win record on grass, and although did not perform well at Roland Garros, is a benefit to the odds. Felix's main threats are Jeremy Chardy and Hubert Hurkacz. The Canadian should dismiss Chardy with his agility, but Hurkacz should be the real challenge. Felix does lead the H2H 1-0.
Alex De Minaur (4)
De Minaur has the best grass win record out of all the players here, and I really like him to take the crown here. Although he does not have a killer serve, his ability to stay consistently aggressive, and move up the court is impressive here. If De Minaur beats Shapovalov in the top half, then he should get into the final quite easily. Their H2H is 1-1, both tightly contested matches, with Shapovalov leading 1-0 on grass.
