Mens Wimbledon Final Preview

Novak Djokovic (1) v Matteo Berrettini (7)

There have been some question marks around Djokovic's form in the Semifinal. Berrettini definitely looked the more aggressive, and it almost looked like Novak was playing at 70% (Maybe saving it for the final). It was a shame that Hurkacz checked out for some of the match, because Berrettini will definitely not experience that from Djokovic.

The 7th seed needs to be aggressive and in control, using his serve powerfully to control points. The Italian should be getting quite a few free points, and if he is winning 80%+ first serve points, then he should be in good stead to win a set. Unfortunately, as we have seen this year, Medvedev was in great form, and was actually the favourite to defeat Djokovic at the Australian Open, but lost in 3 sets. Tsitsipas gave Djokovic a great challenge, definitely being the best clay player this season, but could not handle the Finals pressure. This is Djokovic's 7th Wimbledon Final and has won 5 titles here already, only losing one final. This is Berrettini's first ever Grand Slam final compared to Djokovic's 30th Grand Slam Final. Djokovic has the Finals experience that is crucial as we have seen this year.

Prediction: Djokovic in 4
