Novak Djokovic (1) d Matteo Berrettini (7) 6-7(4) 6-4 6-4 6-3
Both players seemed to be holding a few nerves at the beginning of the first set. Djokovic serving 3 double faults in his first couple of service games, and honestly both players served very average for the match. Berrettini finally took advantage of this, breaking Djokovic when he was serving for the set, and sweeping the tiebreaker nicely.
From there, the world no 1 let go of any nerves, and saw himself in a similar position of a comeback. He quickly broke at the beginning of the second set, and he was back on track, holding the rest of the match nicely, with the Italian only breaking once more in the match.
Djokovic is a true champion of the Sport, and it's likely he will get to 25...even 30 Grand Slams. Despite being 34yo, he is deservedly the world no 1, and deserves to be shown some love. His mentality approach is incredible, shrugging any nerves, and showing his experience proves worthy. Berrettini had the better game, but Djokovic's consistency and all-around ability is just too classy for the next gen.
